6 characteristics of a Christlike mind.
1. Alive... Is activity of the mind that chooses the spiritual over the
fleshly.
a. For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and
peace.
Rom 8:6
2. Single-minded...is a disciplined attention on Christ and His kingdom.
a. But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his
subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in
Christ. 2 Cor 11:3
3. Lowly...is a proper perspective of my position under the greatness of God.
a. Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind
let each esteem other better than themselves. Phil 2:3
4. Purity...the natural spiritual state that Christ desires for every
Christian.
a. Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and
unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled.
Titus 1:15
b. Strength comes prior to temptation, not during it.
5. Responsive...is being responsive to God. Not responsive to anything and
everything.
a. Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the
scriptures, Luke 24:45
6. Peaceful...your work is setting our mind. Gods work is providing peace.
