Give Thanks To God

Psalms 138 

We should: 

  1. 1.Give thanks to God with all your heart. (vs.1) 

  2. 2.Give thanks to God for His extraordinary answers to prayer. (vs. 3) 

    1. 1.If we spent more time thanking God, we would spend less time complaining.  

  3. 3.Give thanks to God for His extraordinary glory. (vs. 5-6) 

  4. 4.Give God thanks for his extraordinary hope in the midst of despair. (vs. 7) 

  5. 5.Give thanks to God for His extraordinary involvement in what concerns us. (vs. 8) 

Refresh Yourself In God

1 Samuel 30:6 

  1. 1.David refreshed himself in God by calling on God.  

    1. 1.get alone with God, spend time with God. God fellowships with us through prayer.  

  2. 2.David refreshed himself in God by waiting on God's answer.  

  3. 3.David refreshed himself in God by remembering God's love.  

  4. 4.David refreshed himself in God by faith in God's past deliverances.  

  5. 5.David refreshed himself by claiming and believing God's promises.  

  6. 6.David refreshed himself in God by sharing in the victory.  

It is well with my soul, faith in times of trouble.
