Matthew 9: 27-30

I’ll say “Yes Lord” Yes

“Do something I am not used to”

Without faith, it is impossible to please God.

Yes, Lord! I love you with all of my heart.
Yes, Lord, I am tired of doing things my way and I want to do it Your way.
Yes, Lord, I believe in a miracle, I can expect the impossible.
Yes Lord, I will believe without seeing any evidence.

5. Yes Lord, I will tell others about YOU.

6. Yes Lord, I will be obedient.

Surrender to the power of God - V7 (we try to live our lives on our own)
Live as an unstoppable force- V8- (power of almighty God)
Get serious about the unfinished task V8- (You will be my witnesses)
Follow God’s unstoppable plan V-8 -
Just stop standing around - V 10 (Put into practice- go do it)
Live a life of anticipation V 11- (He is coming back)

In the desert:

Learn to follow God one day at a time
Thank God for today’s blessings and trust God for tomorrow’s needs
Forges character and develops genuine faith
Learn to love God and serve God for who He is and not just for what he can give you

The Hardest Prayer You Will Ever Pray-

“Your will be done”

Matthew 6: 9-10

When we pray “Your will be done” we are giving up control of our own life”-We decrease so that He can increase”
It is hard to pray “Your will be done” because we often doubt that God wants the best for us.
It is hare to pray “Your will be done” because God’s will, sometimes involves suffering and pain. I.e.
the Apostle Paul… “remove this form from my flesh”
It is hard to pray “Your will be done” because you are praying against the status quo.
It is hard to pray, “Your will be done” because God’s will may not include us.

Everyday, It’s You I Live For

Romans 13:14. Put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill the lusts thereof.

Ephesians 5:15-20

I will walk by faith. V 15 (don’t walk as fools, but wise)
I will not take anything for granted V 16 redeem the time, because the days are evil
I will seek God’s will. V 17
I will be high on Jesus, not chemicals- V:18 be filled with the Spirit

I will enjoy my day with the Lord V 18

2. How do you evaluate yourself. “Humble yourselves therefore”

3. What is your evaluation of God’s for? Psalm 119:105-107. Your Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light to my path… Revive me, O Lord!

4. What is your evaluation of prayer? Philippians 4:6-7. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Jesus will rescue you
Jesus never asked a dumb question V 5 - “Do you want to be healed?” Some people don’t want to be healed
Jesus never asked for excuses
Jesus is not concerned with tradition and legalism.
Jesus loves us right where we are, but loves us enough not to leave us there.

1. The reality of trials V 2. The joy is knowing we have a God in control
2. The purpose of the trial V 3-4- Growth that happens in the trial
3. The reward of the trial V12- Remaining steadfast- faithful
