Difficult Times Ahead!

 2 Timothy 3:1

But know this: Difficult times will come in the last days.

1.  Make The Scriptures Your Standard.

2 Timothy 4:2
   Proclaim the message; persist in it whether convenient or not; rebuke, correct, and encourage with great patience and teaching. 

2.  Be Persistently On The Alert.

3.  Take A Stand.

2 Timothy 4:3-4

 3. For the time will come when they will not tolerate sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, will multiply teachers for themselves because they have an itch to hear something new. 4 They will turn away from hearing the truth and will turn aside to myths.

(A) Truth is rejected.

(B) Lies are supported

.4.   Follow God’s Blueprint For Standing Successfully. 

2 Timothy 4:5
 But as for you, be sober minded, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.

First, Stand Calmly.
Second, Endure Hardship.
Third, Keep on Evangelizing. 
Fourth, Fulfill Your Ministry.

 

 

 

 

You Are An Ambassador. You Have Been Called And Commissioned For A Joyful Task.

2 Corinthians 5:17-20
17.  Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away, and look, new things have come. 18.  Everything is from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: 19.  That is, in Christ, God was reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed the message of reconciliation to us .20. Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, certain that God is appealing through us. We plead on Christ’s behalf, “Be reconciled to God. 

 1. You Are Personally Commissioned to Share The Message of Your King.

2. You Should Expect Many Opportunities to Bring Reconciliation Between Your King And A Lost World.

3. Our Words And Our Actions Speak Volumes About Our King.

4. We Must Put The King’s Interests And Priorities Above Our Own Personal Affairs. 

 

 

Thank God For People Like Ebed-Melech. Jeremiah 38:8-18

1. He Was a Hero Because He Took Action. (Jer. 38:8-11).

2. He Was A Hero Because He Had A Servant’s Heart (Jer. 38:7).

3. He Was A Hero Because He Was Extremely Compassionate (Jer. 38:11-13).

                  “Duty makes us do things well, but love makes us do them beautifully.”      

                  A hero for God stands out not only because of what he does, but also because of                              how he does it.

4) He Was A Hero Because He Trusted God Regardless of The Outcome (Jer. 39:15-18).

I Need More Than A Fake Pep Talk. 2 Chronicles 20

1. I don’t like bad news, especially when it involves me.

2. My enemy is too big!

3. I am scared.

4. Besides, what did I do to deserve this?

5. I don’t know what to do.

6. I need help.

                 1. When bad news finds you, seek the Lord.

                 2. When the enemy seems too big, remember what God has done. 

                 3. When you are scared, just let God do the fighting for you.

                 4. When you feel you don’t deserve this, face your enemy in the power of God.

                 5. When you don’t know what to do, LOOK TO GOD!

                 6. When you need help, sing and sing and sing your way to victory.

1. Real Repentance Begins With Me Crying Out To God.  Psalm 51:1

2. Real Repentance Continues With Me Acknowledging My Sin.  Psalm 51:2-3

3. Real Repentance Is Demonstrated When I Pursue A Pure Heart.  Psalm 51:10

4. Real Repentance Is Working When We Share Our Joy And Hope With Others.  Psalm 51:13

 

Lord, I sense the need to put away _________________ from my life.

I ask Your forgiveness for holding onto this. Remove it from my life so that I

can draw closer to You.
